возможно, но как сэмулировать справа фон? Точно ведь не угадаешь сколько нужно пикселей. В той же опере будет по другому выглядеть. А ты можешь сделать тестовую страницу с примером. И показать скриншоты того, как нужно, чтобы было, во всех состояниях и как не нужно. Чтобы я точно увидел, что за картинки и т.д. И ещё вопрос: О каких пикселях идёт речь? Что ты имеешь ввиду? -
Вот в общем придумал такой вариантик, немного косячный с полосой прокуртки. http://screencast.com/t/3dsU7gdvf да, заметил. Значит не прошло предположение с прибитым футером. Однако, если сделать ему релатив, то фиксед под ним будет скрываться. Ну можно вообще его прибить абсолютом, тогда никакие релативы и з-индексы не нужны будут. На самом деле суть не в этом. Решение мне самому интересно, попробую позже покопаться, отпишу, если что. Тут эмуляцию надо делать, я полагаю...

Да с чего бы? А с чего бы нет? Оно будет прокручиваться, но до определенного предела. Т.е. фиксед не упадет в самый футер, если он не позиционрован именно с bottom:0; Так, погоди-ка. Мы говорим о разных вещах или нет? Я говорил про то, что фиксед не прокручивается вместе с остальным сайтом, а всегда остаётся на месте. Т.е. на том месте экрана, где он находится. Пляшет от экрана короче. Да, все правильно ты говоришь. И я говорю про то, что если задать блоку top:100, то он всегда будет на этом месте, но при этом, он будет находиться в пределах страницы. Т.е. страница-то не бесконечная, вот я о чем. Поэтому и выдвинул гипотезу с прибитым футером, т.е. чтобы на нем страница заканчивалась. А всё равно будут косяки. Попробуй сделай вариант, покажи плиз.

Всё, что не фиксед, будет прокручиваться. Выход: сделать футер тоже фикседом.

Да не работает у тебя нихрена. Попробуй в хроме экран сделать меньше, сразу косяки полезут. В общем решение следующее. У тебя блоки фикс по высоте, а значит в ячейки дивы, им высоту, релатив и уже внутрь этих дивов клади кнопки, на абсолюте и их по низу выравнивай координатами.

К счастью, IE самовольно в обход спецификации позволяет задавать гораздо больше. Поэтому из комбинации first/last/nth-child и col можно слепить достаточно кроссбраузерную штуку. Дружище, а можешь перечислить те вещи, которые позволяет делать ИЕ с col

Абсолют не пашет для ячеек таблицы. Поэтому я удивляюсь, как все, кроме фф, смогли поддасться на этот трюк. Дай ссылку посмотреть.

Отрубал, без него работает. Но он нужен, т.к. галерея — главный элемент страницы. Тогда думай, что тебе важнее, либо ищи другой скрипт, либо попробуй сверху написать свой на чистом ЖС для подвала. Сразу бы сказал, что не знаешь, как решить поставленую задачу. Зачем форум мусором заполнять, ты же администратор? А насчет гибкости — не вижу разницы между контейнерами body и div... да и html можно еще задействовать... Где ты увидел мусор в полезных советах? Гибкость заключается в том, что: 1) body - это тело документа, а т.е. в нём должен находится сайт, т.е. блок с сайтом, а не отдельные куски. 2) Сайт без обёртки часто сулит проблемы с джиквери, уже не раз это замечал. И не только по твоему случаю. 3) Обёртке можно легко назначить фон, отцентрировать её и т.д. Что с body не прокатит. Откуда такие цифры? Да по ощущениям. Кого не спроси - Москва или подмосковье. И это логично, так как количество людей имеющих нормальный инет в одной только Москве чуть ли не больше, чем во всей остальной России вместе взятой. Да нее, человек 200 максимум из 20000 москвичи.

В том, что, например, ему можно задавать размеры, а так же верхние, нижние маргины и всё это будет работать.
