А он и так в этой кодировке, а вот верх на русском, а ниже символы нечитаемые

Имхо, у вас указаны абсолютно правильно. А вот XHTML — выдумка кабинетных теоретиков. С тем доктайпом, который подразумевают браузеры, ошибок гораздо меньше и они не такие непонятные/нелогичные Спасибо! А можно простым языком изложить или скинуть мне нормальный (правильный) код? А то я из шаблона делал "это". Хорошему спецу наверное раз плюнуть исправить ошибки? Еще вопрос, как мне баннеры-счетчики выстроить в ряд в один footer например? Еще раз, спасибо! А чо, по моему все получилось, только фон мне совсем не нравится, из кирпичей
