На вашем сайте в описании тега frameset обнаружил вот такой код:

 <head>
  <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1251">

   <frame src="top.html" name="topFrame" scrolling="no" noresize>
   <frameset cols="80,*">
	 <frame src="left.html" name="leftFrame" scrolling="no" noresize>
	 <frame src="main.html" name="mainFrame">
   </frameset>
 </frameset>

</html>

У меня вопрос: зачем у главного тега frameset указывать параметр cols="*"?

Ведь по умолчанию значение параметра cols итак равно 100%.

Я пробовал использовать данную конструкцию как с параметром cols="*" , так и без него, изменял размер окна браузера в обоих случаях. Вроде все одинаково.
