Сверстан сайтик был в Imageready и потом в Dreamweaver.

Как сделать, чтобы весь сайт всегда позиционировался по центру?

И еще). Страница с видео в опере некорректно работает) может кто знает в чем загвоздка? в IE все ок.

К примеру так как написано здесь: http://www.htmlbook.ru/faq/?a=45 да и вообще куча приемов, поискать что ли трудно?

так не получается. ибо в примере дивы, но не слои ("layer")

с простым дивом получается, а если много слоев - никак... может не понимаю чего

Может быть заключить центральный div в таблицу с одной ячейкой, а ее отцентрировать ?

а как? дивы ложатся следующим слоем поверх таблицы, а не в ячейку...((

Слушайте, да у вас помоему косяк вон какой. 

<div id=central align="center">
<body bgcolor="#FFFFFF" leftmargin="0" topmargin="0" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" onload="preloadImages();">

Тег, открывающий центральный div лежит перед body. Скорее всего поэтому див не центруется, а остальные ложатся кто куда. Попробуйте переместить его так:

<body bgcolor="#FFFFFF" leftmargin="0" topmargin="0" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" onload="preloadImages();">
<div id=central align="center">

В принципе это leftmargin="0" topmargin="0" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" не нужно. А потом попробуйте добавить в свойство css для слоя central слущее:

margin-left: auto;
margin-right:auto;

Должно работать. Уж если не получится тогда через таблицу.
