с фиксированной шириной проблем нет.. там всего три картинки :)

но мне нужно чтоб центральная часть была динамическая

т.е. и длина и ширина может быть любой

Что значит "центральная часть была динамическая" ??, я так понимаю, что все углы должны тянуться в любые стороны?

Если так, то твоих элементов не хватит!

Если совсем прям ниче никак нельзя в коде менять, смотрите на бордер-радиусы, а для тех, кто не понимает отлавливать блок JS и налету заменять конструкцией из нужного количества блоков с бекграундами.

а почему добавить нельзя?

потому что уже заложена модульная структура сайта и всё таки не хочется лезть в код.. хотелось стилями всё сделать.. но :)

ну значит будем думать :)
