jQuery и валидатор

Question

у меня така проблема, валидатор смотрит в код jquery между тегами <script></script> и пишет мне про ошибки, например вот это

   if ($(".myForm input.userInput").val().length < 2 ) {

character "<" is the first character of a delimiter but occurred as data

You tried to include the "<" character in your page: you should escape it as "<"

You used an unescaped ampersand "&": this may be valid in some contexts, but it is recommended to use "&", which is always safe.

Another possibility is that you forgot to close quotes in a previous tag.

Это что я в коде должен поменять < на "<" ???

Нет, обернуть скрипты в CDATA, заэкранировав соотв. метки:

<script type="text/javascript">
//<![CDATA[
здесь скрипт
//]]>
</script>

Еще лучше выносить скрипты в отдельный файл.

P.S. И стоил этот XHTML таких мучений? ;)

Боюсь, IE не поймет такого "издевательства" над его сущностью, как CDATA...
