Структура сайта такова

Heder. Левый sidebar, content, footer

Header и sidebar фиксированные position:fixed;

Проблема в том что при прокрутки в низ sidebar накладывается на footer, как это исправить?

По-моему, если прижать футер, то фиксед на него не залезет(предположение)

Попробуйте еще выставить margin-bottom, равный высоте футера.

Оно будет прокручиваться, но до определенного предела. Т.е. фиксед не упадет в самый футер, если он не позиционрован именно с bottom:0;

Я говорил про то, что фиксед не прокручивается вместе с остальным сайтом, а всегда остаётся на месте. Т.е. на том месте экрана, где он находится. Пляшет от экрана короче.

Да, все правильно ты говоришь. И я говорю про то, что если задать блоку top:100, то он всегда будет на этом месте, но при этом, он будет находиться в пределах страницы. Т.е. страница-то не бесконечная, вот я о чем. Поэтому и выдвинул гипотезу с прибитым футером, т.е. чтобы на нем страница заканчивалась.

да, заметил. Значит не прошло предположение с прибитым футером. Однако, если сделать ему релатив, то фиксед под ним будет скрываться.

Ну можно вообще его прибить абсолютом, тогда никакие релативы и з-индексы не нужны будут. На самом деле суть не в этом. Решение мне самому интересно, попробую позже покопаться, отпишу, если что.

Тут эмуляцию надо делать, я полагаю...

По-моему тут не решить дело чистым css. По сути тут надо выпадающим из потока блоком тянуть блок, который в потоке.

Вот в общем придумал такой вариантик, немного косячный с полосой прокуртки. Очень надеюсь, что кто нибудь из Экспертов покажут хорошее решение, на чистом CSS.
