Фон в DIV

help please. не могу разобраться в чем дело:

такой код не отображает нужного мне фона в div'е:

тыкнете мордой в мой косяк в первом варианте, чтобы он работал как второй.

Для ссылок во внешнем CSS пути на картинки правильно пропишите. Вы из css ссылаетесь, будто картинки внутри папки со стилями... очевидно, что это не так.

спасибо, попробовал исправить - не помогло

тыкнете мордой в мой косяк в первом варианте, чтобы он работал как второй.

у меня первый вариант работает. может, дело в незакрытом стиле?

Я же написал

../img/

две точки! возврат в каталог. именно так пишите, как я указал. т.е.

background: url('../img/headbg.jpg') repeat-x;
