проблема с favicon.ico

Здравствуйте,

возникла такая проблема, в веб-приложении никогда не было фавиконки. При открытии странички index, проверяется пароль (стр login), после успешного ввода открывается приложение, с не давнего времени после входа в урл добавляется /favicon.ico (появляется периодически, http://.../favicon.ico), т.е. обратно на index не возвращается. Кто нибудь сталкивался с такой проблемой? как избавится от добавления favicon в урл.

Попробовал добавить favicon.ico в корень папки, открыл в googlechrome приложение, иконка отобразилась и в урл добавился favicon.ico

  Здравствуйте, подскажите какой тег использовать для увеличения значения, пример на картинке. Вроде, про такой тег я слышала. Если есть тег прогресс бар, значит и такое должно быть.
