Необходимо чтобы отображался фоновый цвет, у Div'а (id="1") в который вложено еще два Div'а (id="a" и id="b") с плавающей высотой (блог и сайдбар).

background-color: #e8e8e8;
}
При таком коде, цвет не отображается. Если задать цвет отдельно для #a и #b, то, поскольку они постоянно разной длинны, окрашивается не вся область #1.
P.S. Решение через таблицу принципиально не хочу. Но можно php.
