Подозреваю, что не нужно:). За всю свою долгую и нелегкую жизнь видел буквально пару раз, когда zoom использовался действительно по назначению, а не ради побочного эффекта — включения layout в старых IE. А для body и это не имеет смысла, т.к. там у него layout был по умолчанию.

Опера и Fx, судя по всему, не добавляют, потому что не знают такого свойства. А вебкитные браузеры знают, но, насколько я в курсе, zoom:1 там не влияет ни на что.
