Здравствуйте  уважаемые форумчане!

 

Помогите, пожалуйста, разобраться с картинкой, почему-то  она не хочет растягиваться на всю ширину блока.

max-width задает максимальную планку ширины, но не указывает какую ширину должен иметь элемент. Это значит что если width достигнет значения max-width то больше он не растянется.

 

Если вы хотите растянуть картинку то вам следует указывать width или min-width
