Проблема со вторым div.row

Парни, не могли бы объяснить что не так в коде, почему второй div.row занимает не всю доступную ширину ?

Стоит у .row класс .clearfix

Ваш CSS - .container .cols имеет float: left; Зачем? Бутстрап и так их расположит рядом.

Без флоата никак -  это самописная сетка, а без clearfix пропадает родительский фон

Стили назначены на контейнер .clearfix, а не на псевдоэлемент. Теперь весь контейнер - таблица. Ширина - по содержимому.

В общем, исправьте:

/* .clearfix */

.clearfix:after {
    ...
}
