TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT
Our technology department is building systems that serve the best customers in the world - our customers. Our platform uses some of the most cutting-edge technologies available. We have built most of our systems on open-source technologies. We use Linux, PHP, Ruby on Rails, MySQL, Apache, Nginx and more (you can even help us figure out what else!).
Job Description
Job Type: full-time (35-40 hours)
If you are enthusiastic about writing excellent quality code and love solving challenging problems then this is a great opportunity for you.
Responsibilities:
Front-end development;
Draw up detailed website specifications;
Design sample page layouts including text size and colors;
Create PSDs for visual layout of web pages, brand identities, email templates;
Implement design into HTML and CSS;
Establish and maintain design guidelines;
Update websites.
Qualifications
Required technical skills and experience:
Computer Science degree or equivalent experience;
2+ years experience with HTML and CSS and JS, jQuery;
Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator or other visual design and wire-framing tools;
Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively;
Web development experience with PHP or basic knowledge is a plus;
Magento Web development experience or basic knowledge is a plus;
Knowledge of WordPress standards and functionality is a plus;
Writing and speaking English (intermediate or higher).
