Такой способ действительно работает, в книге "Мастерская CSS" такой способ один в один описан, но браузеры обновились и поэтому появились способы сделать это гораздо легче и эстетичнее, через тот же самый марджин. И еще не пойму почему все юзают ИЕ6 версии - это же один сплошной баг, у меня как у рядового пользователя стоит 8 версия или большая часть Рунета сидит именно на 6 версии? Народ где можно посмотреть статистику по браузерам, сколько человек на какой версии браузеров сидят???
